What Most People Want To Know
What exactly does Dudobi do?
We manage AWS for fast-growing businesses, so their teams don't have to. That covers everything from security and compliance to cost control, uptime, and cloud migrations. We also help businesses that aren't on AWS yet get there safely and confidently. In short: we take AWS off your plate and make it work harder for your business.
Do you only work with businesses that are already on AWS?
No. We work with businesses at every stage of their AWS journey, from those just starting out to those who've been on AWS for years and want to make sure it's running as it should. If you're still on-premises or with another cloud provider, we can help you assess your options before you commit to anything.
What's the difference between your managed services and just using AWS directly?
AWS gives you the infrastructure. We give you the expertise to run it well. Most businesses don't have dedicated AWS specialists in-house, and AWS itself doesn't manage your environment for you. We do. That means proactive security monitoring, cost optimisation, compliance, patching, and support - continuously, not just when something goes wrong.
How do you define an 'SMB'?
We typically work with businesses with annual turnovers of up to around $30 million. But the size that matters most to us is your AWS footprint, not your turnover. If you're running meaningful workloads on AWS and need a trusted partner to manage them properly, you're likely a good fit. When in doubt, book a consultation, and we'll tell you honestly.
Do you work with nonprofits?
Yes, and it's something we take seriously. We hold the AWS Nonprofit Competency, which means we've been independently assessed on our ability to serve nonprofit organisations. We understand the budget pressures, compliance requirements, and governance expectations that come with the sector. Several of our longest-standing clients are nonprofits.
We already have an IT team. Why would we need Dudobi?
Most IT teams are generalists managing a wide remit. AWS is a specialism. We work alongside your internal team, covering the AWS layer so they can focus on the business. Think of us as your dedicated AWS department, without the cost of hiring one. Many of our clients have capable IT teams; they just don't want AWS to be another thing on their list.
How do you know if our servers are costing us more than they should?
You probably won't, until someone looks properly. We conduct a detailed assessment of your current environment, whether that's on-premises servers or an existing cloud setup, and model the cost of the same workloads on AWS. That gives you real numbers based on your actual infrastructure, not industry averages or generic calculators.
What's a Security and Optimisation Assessment, and should we get one?
It's our bespoke, independent review of your AWS environment across four key areas: security and compliance, architecture, cost optimisation, and operational excellence. We use AWS tooling via read-only access, so we never touch your environment directly. You receive a scored report with every finding rated by severity and a prioritised roadmap of what to fix first. If you've never had an independent pair of eyes on your AWS, the answer is almost certainly yes.
How long does it take to get started?
Quickly. Every engagement starts with a 30-minute discovery session, which we can usually schedule within days of your first conversation with us. From there, the timeline depends on what you need. A Security and Optimisation Assessment takes around a week. A migration project is longer, but we'll scope that clearly before you commit to anything.
What does working with Dudobi actually cost?
It depends on your environment and what you need. Our managed services start from £1000 per month. Professional services and assessments are scoped and priced individually. What we won't do is give you a vague number and refine it later. Every engagement starts with a proper conversation about your situation, and we'll give you a clear picture of cost before anything moves forward. Book a complimentary consultation and we'll start there.
